The Monarch C-202 nozzle utilizes an advanced air atomization design where compressed air and fuel oil enter a common swirl chamber through separate passages. The controlled mixing process produces a finely atomized fuel spray that is discharged through the nozzle for efficient combustion.
For optimum performance, oil pressure should remain at least 2 PSI higher than atomizing air pressure. Maximum atomization efficiency is typically achieved by regulating atomizing air pressure while maintaining appropriate fuel pressure.
The nozzle can achieve turndown ratios between 3:1 and 4:1, providing excellent firing flexibility for industrial burner systems.
Heavy fuel oils can also be used when preheated to approximately 150 SSU viscosity for proper atomization.
