The Monarch D-41 nozzle operates using a direct pressure atomization principle. Fuel is forced through a precision-engineered tip and disc assembly under high pressure, producing a finely atomized spray suitable for efficient combustion.

The nozzle is rated using No. 2 fuel oil at 100 PSI; however, it is designed to operate effectively at higher pressures ranging from 200 to 300 PSI for industrial applications. When used with heavier oils, preheating reduces viscosity and improves spray quality.

Depending on application requirements, the D-41 can be supplied with spray angles in 10° increments up to a maximum of 100°, allowing burner operators to optimize flame shape and combustion chamber performance.
